Ken of “Greater Phoenix Attorney at Law Magazine” interviews Phoenix personal injury lawyer Chris Zachar on being selected Solo Practitioner Of The Month, November 2010:
Ken: Excellent. So, when you started out as an attorney, did you start your first firm, were you with somebody else or how did the Zachar Law Firm come about?
Chris Zachar: Even though I was in the top 1/3 of my class in law school, I was kind of crying the blues because I was on of those students who did not have a job coming out of law school. I took the bar, passed it on my first try and in the meantime I had found a position clerking for an a personal injury attorney in Scottsdale. After I passed the bar and was sworn in I got the position as an attorney in the firm and I went to work for him. I worked for him for about 3 years and in that time, we had acquired an office in Flagstaff as well. After 3 years and depending on the circumstances, I just decided it was time for me to go out on my own, and I opened the door to my firm in January of 1996 and I originally had a partner and that lasted for 4 or 5 years and he kind of went on his own way and the last 10 years we have been the Zachar Law Firm. We just do personal injury work and that is all we have ever done and I am a specialist in that are and that is all we do everyday.
